| Christian Aid supports
projects which help the poor of developing countries to better their
living and working conditions and improve their health. When disaster
strikes, Christian Aid sends money to provide food, medicine, shelter and
transport. Volunteers are required during Christian Aid week (in May) to
help with house-to-house collecting and for other fund raising events
throughout the year, such as coffee mornings (home baking) and the
sponsored walk on 9th September. Campaigning is an important aspect of
Christian Aid and we have been involved with the Trade Justice and Make
Poverty History campaigns. We are keen to hear from anyone else who may
like to become involved. Please contact Ann Ralph 575520 or Jacqueline
Watson 696010. Thank you all for your continuing support. |
