 Ministry of Flowers
As flower convenor my remit is to ensure there are flowers in the Sanctuary every Sunday and to organise the flower calendar accordingly. Many of you like to provide flowers to mark a special date in your own lives and you have generously filled the flower calendar during the past year - for which I thank you.

Flowers that decorate the Sanctuary Sunday by Sunday are delivered to members who are sick, in hospital, housebound or bereaved. This Ministry of flowers is very much appreciated. We receive many letters, but one letter in particular brought this home to me, and I would like to read a few lines from it. "My husband had been feeling very low after 3 or 4 stays in hospital and the thought that someone was actually thinking of him cheered him up no end. Thank you for your support".

At special times during the year namely Easter, Harvest and Christmas we like to do a bit extra. I have a small talented group of flower-arrangers who do this but we are always looking for more helpers - do come and join us.

We also like to keep a few flowers in the church during the week now that the Coffee Shop has been opened many more people like to visit the church. There is a rose-bowl in the chapel and a vase on the box to my left with flowers in them during the week. These have both been donated in memory of a loved one.
