Christmas Fair

Saturday 29th November 2003

10 am - 2 pm

The Fundraising Taskgroup are already underway with plans for this year’s Christmas Fair. The event will have a different format this year. For a start, it will run from 10am - 2pm.

The venues for the stalls and the refreshments have been switched, so coffees etc will be served through the Hatch into the Hall, which we think is a much safer system, and the Foyer will house the Festive stalls, while the plants will be sited in the Atrium. In the far third of the Hall will be found the Sunday Gang’s Chocolate Tombola together with the Bottle Stall and other smaller stalls.
Since we have been selling bric-a-brac and books all year at Table-top Sales, we have decided to omit these at this year’s Fair.

It is always a day of great fun for all ages, whether working behind a stall, or behind the scenes, or just coming along to support Ferryhill Beyond 2000.

Tickets

Tickets will not be issued this year. Instead, there will be a very small entry charge of 20p per head.

Donations Please!

Of course you may not be able to help on the day of the Fair, or to come
along, but here are some ways in which you can still make a contribution, if you are able. Every little helps, so donations are requested of....

Bottles.......we have sufficient bottled water and juices, but will require donations of bottles with other contents.
Chocolate....all kinds. The Sunday Gang run the Tombola.
Baking and provisions, including savouries (wrapped of course).
Sweets......always best sellers, they make great gifts and look very tempting on a stall. (Contact Moira Whyte 592431 for containers for sweets or baking).
Christmas decorations.....we all like to add to our supply each year.
Other crafts.......sewing, knitting etc.
Plants and bulbs.....and holly and ivy.
Candles....a must at Christmas. We all have unused spares. Why not dress them up for the Christmas table and we’ll sell them.
Cash donations.
Plus of course, any ideas we haven’t thought about!!!

We hope all this will engender enthusiasm and get everyone in the mood. Watch out for further information on the Notice Board and also on the Church Website. www.ferryhillparishchurch.org.uk

Now complete the on line form indicating your wish to help on the day.
