CHRISTMAS FAIR
Saturday 26th November 2005
10am – 2pm
Arrangements are underway for this year's Christmas Fair, which is being held on Saturday 26th November from 10am – 2pm. The Coffee Shop will move into the Large Hall, and the Foyer will house the Festive Stalls, while plants and bulbs etc. will be sited in the Atrium. In the far third of the Hall, the Bottle Stall and the Sunday Gang's Chocolate Stall as well as various other small stalls will be found. Since we have been selling bric a brac and books all year at Table Sales, we have decided to omit these from the Christmas Fair.
Proceeds from the Fair will go towards the next phase of the Church Development Plan whereby the Hall and premises at the rear of the Church will be upgraded to make them safe and suitable for users in the 21st century.
On offer in the Coffee Shop
throughout the Fair…………
Coffees/teas, with freshly baked scones, pancakes, butteries & mince pies as well as bacon rolls & toasties

Below is information about some of the stalls and attractions, and also suggestions as to how you can help us make the Fair the huge success it usually is, but also a day of enjoyment for all, whilst you derive personal satisfaction and even unearth hidden talents. We require everyone's help to make the stalls groan with all the goodies we want to sell. If you are a newcomer to Ferryhill Church, this is a great opportunity to make new friends.

While you may not feel you can be of help on the day of the Fair, or to come along, there are some ways whereby you can still make a contribution, if you are able. Every little helps. Donations are requested of…………
Bottles ……with all sorts of contents.
Chocolate ……….the children of the Sunday Gang run the Tombola.
Baking and provisions , including savouries, (all wrapped of course)…..this is the first stall to sell out, so it has to be laden.
Sweets …….always best sellers, they make great gifts and look so tempting. Moira Whyte (tel 592431) has clear plastic containers for baking and sweets.
Handmade Christmas cards & decorations ……. .always a very busy stall.
Crafts and gifts of all kinds.
Plants and bulbs …….and holly and ivy.
Candles are a must for Christmas. We all have unused spares at home. Why not dress them up for the Christmas table and give them to us to sell?
We will be very grateful too for cash donations, plus any other ideas you might have that are not mentioned above.
We hope this will get everyone in the mood and arouse enthusiasm. Watch out for further information on the Notice Board in the Coffee Shop, in the Pew Leaflets
If you have any queries, please contact the Fundraising Convener, Hazel Braynion, tel 326910, or anyone in the Fundraising group.
